How to Wear your RECKON

Pro tips from Jason on how to wear your RECKON for optimal sensor performance

Proper watch fit and placement are important for accurate heart rate measurements, especially during workouts.

Wear Your Watch Snugly

Your watch should fit snugly enough that it doesn't slide around during activity, but not so tight that it's uncomfortable or leaves deep indentations on your wrist.

Everyone's wrist is different, so you may need to experiment to find the right fit. A properly fitted watch should remain in place while still feeling comfortable throughout your workout.

Position the Watch Correctly

As a general guideline, wear your watch one to two finger widths above your wrist bone.

However, this is only a starting point. Depending on your anatomy—especially if you have more muscular forearms—you may need to adjust the position slightly.

The goal is to place the watch so that the heart rate sensor sits flat against your skin on the flatter section of your wrist, rather than directly over your wrist bone or on the curve of your forearm.

Tips for Better Heart Rate Accuracy

  • Wear the watch snug enough that it doesn't move during exercise.
  • Position the sensor on the flat area just above your wrist bone.
  • Avoid wearing the watch directly over the wrist bone.
  • If your heart rate readings seem inconsistent, try adjusting both the tightness and placement of the watch before starting your workout.
Note: Wrist shape and anatomy vary from person to person. Small adjustments in watch placement can make a significant difference in heart rate accuracy.
