Downloading Your First Map
Getting maps onto your watch is fast—and once you’ve done it once, it’s second nature.
STEP 1: Open the Bridger App —> Select Download Map
For your first map download a small map of your current location in order to be able to easily test the sync on your watch.
- Tap Download Map
- You’ll see a rectangle on the map:
- 🔴 Red = too large
- 🟢 Green = ready to download
- Zoom in until the box turns green, then tap Download
Once it finishes, you’ll see the map saved in your app.
STEP 2: Sync to Your Watch
On your watch:
- Navigate to Maps Manager from the home screen by selecting the lower right ‘back’ button and scrolling down.
- Select Maps Manager
- Tap Sync Maps
Typical Timing
- Small maps: approximately 30-90 seconds
- Larger maps: approximately 3-5 minutes
STEP 3: View on your Watch!
Once syncing finishes:
- Head back to your home screen - access maps with the upper left button
- Once your GPS locks your map will be there, ready to use!
NOTE: Like most satellite devices, Bridger Watch needs a clear view of the sky to quickly and accurately acquire a GPS lock. For best results, initiate maps while outside with a clear view of the sky.
